I had a bit of a hard time focusing on the love and kindness mp3. So I didn't get much from it. I had a rough time trying to relax even before I started it. I listened to other pieces to try to relax before trying it. Plus, work has kind of had everyone in an uproar that it was hard to focus. Not sure if I would recommend it since I couldn't enjoy it myself.
Everyone needs a mental workout, it helps us to teach ourselves how to relax and focus on our inner being and wellness, to cut of the mental chatter at night so we get a well rested sleep. Who hasn't woken up tired even after getting at least 8 hours of sleep? Also it's good to meditate to keep your mind in good working order. We get forgetful the older we so exercising the mind could help us with this. After a good meditation I seem to think more clearer and can get a hold of my emotions before they spill out and onto others.
Hello Crystal. I am so sorry to hear that you did not get the benefit of this exercise. I also have a hard time relaxing. Stress is such an ugly part of our lives and unfortunately it never goes away. We just have to learn how to deal with it better, that is why I am taking this class:) You are right as we get older so do our minds. Sometimes I do wonder were mine went to. I tend to say that my mind left as soon as I became a parent or actually during my pregnacy. It just hasn't been the same since. Well I hope that you will be able to enjoy the rest of the exercises we have. Take it one day at a time and remember to breath.
