Unit 5 A subtle mind

Ah the sound of the ocean is nice. I felt a lot more relaxed with this exercise, maybe because I just had to focus of something in the room with me and not imagine something I honestly didn't have. To me it's easier to calm my mind when I don't have to think about it. I was not frustrated during this exercise either, I had a long day at work and this just let all the tension float away with the sounds of the waves.

Spiritual wellness is important to the mental and physical wellness in the fact it allows you to take care of yourself. Clearing your mind of all the random thoughts and feelings, your mind and body can rest peacefully when you sleep. When you can sleep well you physical body has a chance to heal itself from any physical fatigue that beats your body down.
Since I have started doing these mental exercises, except for one I have slept more soundly and felt well rest the next day. I don't seem to be in pain like I usually am. I have felt better than I have in a long time.

  1. Hi Crystal,
I am glad to read that you are sleeping better. It is a terrible thing to not get enough sleep. The sound of the ocean was nice, I am glad you found benefit in this activity. I did not, I enjoyed the loving kindness activity more. I even read this one in our text twice.

I hope you continue to feel better. What other activities do you think you might add to help you to feel better?

Have lovely rest of the week, Candii

  2. Hi Crystal,

I really find that listening to these exercises at the end of a long and busy day are the most beneficial. I can allow all the tension and stress that may have built up just roll right out of my body. It seems like you really gained control this week by remaining focused on not letting your mind wonder too far from the point. So glad you are benefitting from these exercises, I feel that I am too!
